Kate Ashley Studio is led by its founder Dr Katherine Ashley (Kate). Kate is a RIBA Chartered Architect, RIBA Conservation Registrant, and holds an Engineering Doctorate in heritage conservation. With over 12 years of professional experience, Kate has combined architectural practice with research, programming and management roles, and has worked for both public and private sector clients in the UK and internationally. Internationally this includes work for national and local governments and donor-funded projects, UNESCO, ICCROM, King’s College London and the British Council. Over the past ten years, Kate has had ongoing involvement with projects in Sudan and various other projects throughout the MENA region.

Contracts for architectural services, cultural heritage, research, and programme and project management commissions are undertaken directly with clients, on a consultancy and freelance basis, and as part of a consortium team.
